Remarkably cheap for a device which does a perfectly decent job. The original VHS home movies I am converting to digital are not good technical quality, but I don't think this device makes them look appreciably (if at all) worse. I found it easy to set up and use. The software that comes with it does the job, but if you want to do some heavy editing you might be better off with specialist software. I am very happy that this device is helping me save some old home videos before the tapes become unreadable (or the tape player finally dies).(Read more)

The user interface is very different from a Sky+ box, and needs more button presses to achieve the same result. It works just as well though, and of course you don't pay Sky's subscription. This box does have one advantage over Sky, though: you can search for a radio programme by name and have the series recorded.
